Hoi An bamboo basket boat and fishing family tour

Tour schedule:

You will be collected from your hotel by minibus at 08:00 am and taken to one of the local markets. Here you will get to explore the astonishing range and variety of seafood foods that were caught the night before and delivered to the market fresh first thing in the morning, some of the best that river and sea have to offer. From here we will travel by bike to the island of Cam Thanh where you will be guided along paths that are less travelled and get to see the local people at work producing food of all kinds so that  they can feel their families and earn their living. After a stop for a drink, it will be time to board our fishing boat and you will be shown and even get to try some different local fishing techniques such as circular cast nets, submersible square nets and fixed nets.

Tourist enjoy the bamboo basket boat ride at Cam Thanh water coconut village

You will be transferred from the fishing boat to a traditional basket boat for an up close tour of the water coconut forest where  you can try your hand at fishing for small crabs before being taken to our family’s bamboo home. Here you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch of dishes that are cooked at local way with the freshest of ingredients and authentic local flavors.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel by minibus at 01:30 pm.
